We are delighted that Revd Simon Heard has started as the new Director of Open Door. Simon brings with him a wealth of experience as he was previously the Director of Open Door 2012-2016. Since that time he has trained to be a Baptist minister and has been ordained. Alongside this role he is continuing to work part-time as the pastor of Mariners Chapel where he has been for the last four years.
We are excited for the new season with Simon at the helm and look forward to all that God is going to do at Open Door. He joins at what is already a time of transition as we are re-opening our drop-in centre after 3 months of only offering takeaway food due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Welcome Simon!
