Donations

Open Door is only able to exist thanks to the ongoing generous donations of time, food and money that we receive. If you would like to be part of making sure that everyone can receive a warm welcome and listening ear, then there are a number of ways that you can get involved.

We depend greatly on financial gifts to continue our work. Money that you donate will go directly towards helping people most in need in our town, ensuring that they have a safe space to come and be listened to and cared for.

Volunteer

Our volunteers are critical to the work of Open Door and we simply wouldn’t be able to open without them. We are always looking for new volunteers to join our drop-in team or to help with Tuesday@Twelve or Sunday@One. Volunteers work as part of a team to help welcome people, make tea and coffee, and spend time listening to people.

All of our volunteers are active members of various Christian communities. Each volunteer undergoes a DBS  check and will receive on-going supervision and training.

Are you…

  • A good listener?
  • Someone with a heart for the marginalised?
  • Interested in volunteering regularly at Open Door?

If yes, then why not volunteer at Open Door?

For more information, please get in contact with us or pop in to one of our sessions.
