What is Open Door?

Open Door is a café-style drop-in centre which welcomes without judgment anyone who needs help or wants someone to talk to. Our team members are all members of local churches.

Opening times

We are open  from 10am to 2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

What we offer

  • A warm welcome to everyone in a relaxed café style setting
  • Friendship and a listening ear
  • Value-for-money food and drink
  • Crisis support
  • Advice on a wide range of issues (including welfare and housing)
  • Sign-posting and referrals to other agencies

Sunday@One & Tuesday@Twelve

We have an informal Sunday service at 1pm in the church hall. Everyone is welcome to join us as we worship, listen to a talk, hear testimonies and enjoy a (free) lunch together.

Every Tuesday we have a Bible study at 12pm in the church lounge which is an opportunity to find out more about the Bible together, also with a free lunch afterwards.

Please contact us for more information.

Staff

History

Since our opening in 1986, we have befriended many people and journeyed with them through the highs and lows of their lives without judgement or prejudice.
